Because so many good things have been happening, I wanted to give you an update.
I sent you a report on the Nigerian conference that took place November 13-15. What has happened since has been truly amazing. Rev. Ochei has turned over the ministry of Love Lines in Nigeria to Dr. Wilfred Daniels. Rev. Ochei now is the Love Lines coordinator for all of West Africa. Already he is making contact with those whose names I have sent him from the following countries: Liberia, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Burundi, Togo, and Ghana.
Rev. Ochei is completing arrangements to have a training conference for interested participants from Togo and Mali to meet in Lome,Togo on March 12-14. Dan and I were so impressed with the outline of his intentions for the next three years. I decided to share this information so you could rejoice with us.
I am happy to tell you about the 2008 reports we have received from our centers. They have reported receiving 201,514 calls, 25,933 prayed to accept Christ, 17,256 people were filled with the Holy Spirit, and 20,761 people received follow up care. Every year the numbers increase of those who are being reached for the Lord by the way of the telephone.
All of the plans are set for Dan and Diane to fly to Panama City from March 1-6. At that time they will meet with Claudio Endara who has opened a telephone center that reaches out to Panama, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Miami, Texas, and
California by telephone. Since opening in May 2008 they have estimated receiving 19,350 calls. Claudio eventually intends to reach all Spanish speaking countries. They will also meet personnel of the telephone center and be available for consultation. Please remember them in your prayers. We want to extend the ministry of telephone counseling throughout Central and South America.
Another important achievement is our newly revised Counselor Training material that has been placed on the Love Lines web site. It can now be downloaded anywhere in the world. I am in the process of rewriting our Director’s Training
Manual. Soon we will need to have this printed. Dan and I have decided to call our inactive directors who have not responded to our emails. Please pray with us that the finances will come in to cover these costs.
Again, I wish to thank you for the interest you have shown to the ministry of Global Missions. You have no idea how much this means to me. Please keep this ministry in your prayers. Pray that I will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and His leading so that we may be able to fulfill to the ultimate His plan and purpose.
