Over Thirty years ago, March, 1972, God unexpectedly led Dan and Diane Morstad into a ministry of counseling needy people over the telephone.
Step by step, the Holy Spirit has directed them in the expansion of this ministry until today Love Lines is a 24 hour, seven day a week telephone answering service carried out by dedicated, Holy Spirit led counselors and workers ministering to the diverse needs of people in the Twin Cities, the United States and around the world.
The Minneapolis, Minnesota Center is located on the Northern edge of the metropolitan area. The building has about 10,000 square feet of office space on three levels. Extra room not used by Love Lines is rented out to other tenants.
Since 1972, the Minneapolis Center has responded to 1,916,838 calls for help mostly in the Minnesota area but also from people around the Unites States and some foreign countries.
This ministry has recently been extended to many countries of the world through the Global Missions outreach. Over 1,000 people representing around 50 countries have requested information about the ministry of telephone counseling. Centers have been opened in 31 countries. Approximately 120 directors are in the process of developing centers. Some are opening multiple centers.
These things happen because Dan Morstad and his associates obey the promptings of the Holy Sprit. Their secret is prayer. Dan keeps an appointment with God to pray with prayer partners every morning between 5:00 - 6:00 a.m.
