News & Praise
Tower of Faith International Crisis Center gives God the glory for all His blessings and kindness towards us. From the beginning the devil has been attacking us. God was doing miracles in our first office, but the rent kept increasing. Everything was going well in our second office, until the civil war broke out in our country.
On May 28, 2003 the rebels hit the suburbs and eventually defeated the government troops, taking over the entire island. Like chickens, people were killed and beheaded by the rebels.
One sight I will never forget was of a crawling child suckling her dead mother’s breasts. Women were abused in every way you can imagine.
Our staff was taken across rebel lines. They haven’t returned yet, but we trust that we will see them again.
In August 2003, the first West African peacekeeper arrived on Liberian soil. Before that time we were unable to reach our relatives and friends because we couldn’t cross the bridge from the island to the city. Praise be to God we are now free to move from the rebel control.
God is using Tower of Faith Love Lines Center to bring glory to Him. One woman writes: “I give God the praise for His goodness towards my life. I also thank God for the Tower of Faith family.”
Another writes, “I was frustrated and lonely and at the point of taking my own life. A young man, whom I loved very much, took everything that I had worked for all of my life. He promised to marry me and I trusted him with everything I had, including my life. But he took everything and tried to escape to the United States with another woman. Two days from the time I had planned to take my life, a friend told me about the Tower of Faith family. By the grace of God, I gave my life to Christ. I changed and the Tower of Faith people helped me to be who I am today. God has proven to me that He is good and merciful.”
Another man wrote: “Hi, Brethren. Glory be to God in the Highest. I can’t express the goodness of God in my life-from drug dealer to evangelist. I know this is the doing of God. Thank God for the Tower of Faith family. God is always good. It doesn’t matter about our sins. What matters is our willingness to repent.”
Before the war Tower of Faith had 12 counselors, 23 volunteers and was open all day five days a week. Now we have 4 counselors, have located only 10 of our volunteers and are operating out of our living room 3 days a week.
We continue our intercessory prayer, praise time, lunch with Jesus and counseling sessions. Because our phone communication has stopped, God is using people who have benefited from the center to bring in new cases. Others come because of a friend’s recommendation. Praise and thank God.
This testimony has been sent by Pastor Badini.
In the past, I used to have financial problems, since I was working mainly for the sake of drugs and adultery. My family didn’t even have enough to eat; it was miserable.
I decided to listen to the teaching and the advice of the Hope Lines Center 12 months ago, and my life has changed. I am able to take care of my family, and more than that, I have been able to pay for a bicycle, a cart and two oxen.
I thank GOD for all He has done in my life through the Hope Lines Center. Thank you.
We are praying to start another center in Gurupura with Pastore M. John.
One day in front of our Center a lady was feeding her child food. The Holy Spirit spoke to me to call her inside and share the Gospel with her. Told her about the new life in Christ and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Gave her a card with our phone number.
She shared the Gospel with her husband and five sisters. They too were saved through her witness and are coming to church.
Much is happening for our Center in Lome. One day a counselor received a diabetic woman who heard our message on the local radio. We give 15 minutes for listeners to call us directly on line in the studio of the radio station. She was one of six who called.
The counselor gave a prayer for deliverance. At present it is cured. In an offering to God for His cure, she has offered another telephone line.
Though we may have difficulty for our mission, God passes through people and comes to our assistance.
By the Grace of God we also are working the Love Lines program. It all started with my radio program. This opened the door for a Love Lines Crisis Center in Ghana. I first worked with Togo director Rev. Agbenyega and started my own in Ghana.
Many people call upon us with different problems. So far we have had 5100 calls with 10 counselors working three days a week.
It is Dan Morstad’s prayer that each center will sponsor three new centers. (ed.)
Our name of this Center has been changed to Nigeria Lovelines Caring Center from Crisis Center. Our records show 115 people prayed the sinners prayer of repentance and commitment to Christ. We have also made personal contact with 70 new converts which were directed to Bible believing churches. Our ten counselors work from 8 a..m. To 6 p.m. , Monday through Saturday.
Fifteen have been filled with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in new tongues.
Ughelli City will soon have cell phones and that will add to widening our scope of operation to reach more people this year.
Other Centers have also changed the word “Crisis” to some other word due to the present world situation. (ed.)
Armee du Christ EN MISSION is on the air here in Togo. After every radio service, we receive many calls, from 75 to 90.
The Lord has done many wonders for people through our prayers on the telephone . During our first Friday all-night meeting, a woman whose 18 year old daughter was missing, she found her later when we prayed for her through the telephone.
A girl who had a pact with water spirit (Mamiwater) was delivered and confessed that the spirits take her under the sea and her mission was to destroy families through fornication with married men.
There are now two home cell groups where follow-up teachings are going on.
Our Center has a prayer team who are praying daily for the promotion of the Center and especially for our telephone installation problem.
Our counselor team of fifteen are made up of Medical, Legal, Teachers, Pastors, Marriage Counselors, Business persons, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and more.
At present the Center is open 12 hours a day, seven days a week.
A drug addict whose marriage was broken as a result of his addition, gave his life to the Lord. Now he is out of drugs and his marriage is restored.
Another marriage which had known no peace since contracted for the past four years, is now a peaceful, loving and happy one with a prosperous expectation.
A medical doctor and his wife now living peacefully in a renewed wedlock after fifteen years of marriage crisis.
“Pastor, sometimes I felt like committing suicide when I thought about my rejection and deplorable state. But thank God I am now saved and enjoying a new fellowship in Christ” testimony be a converted drug addict.
Despite the problems of getting the telephone installation and all, it is a real joy to be part of such a wonderful ministry of caring to see people in crisis returning with joy and in peace.

Nepal is supposed to be the only totally Hindu country in the world. The Hindu religion takes a vital role in almost every part of the system in this country. The leaders of the society have been taking advantage of poor people in the name of Hindu religion. Many people have not received the chance to know Jesus , our God and Savior.
People call us and are sometimes threatening, or sometimes ask for help.
“Hey, who is Jesus?”
“How can He save us”
“My daughter is sick please pray.”
“I want to join a church, please suggest how to help me.”
“My father has left the world, can I get help”
“I love to know Jesus.”
We try to answer them from the Bible as their friends. We pray for people in their needs. We gather people in our home for fellowship and have made small tracts to distribute to people in church. Thank you for your prayer support.
